ACCOUNT HEAD – SOUTH ASIA ACCOUNTS (Location: Mumbai)
Job Purpose
To manage all aspects of accounts in South Asia for major Telecom operators. Ensure agility, efficiency and demonstrable value addition to the South Asia Accounts for solution and services. Strategize, deliver, demonstrate value and grow the South Asia Accounts into a multi-year, increasing revenue account.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of the solution and services as per the commitment made with the customer, with quality and optimal cost
Ensure timely invoicing and billing as per contracted terms for solutions and services delivered to the customer
Manage a cross functional team, including contractors to ensure collaborative delivery
Develop account specific processes and monitoring mechanisms as may be necessary for the above
Ensure optimal staffing, utilization and retention of the required skills
Optimal resource allocation taking into account logistics such as travel, work permits, visas etc
Own all KPIs on the account and consistently work towards achieving them with practicality and focus under constraints from internal as well as external environment
Formulate and execute short, medium and long term account strategy consistent with delivery demonstrable value to the customer from our solutions and services
Ensure streamlined communication to account at various levels
Build relationships with all decision makers, influencers and stakeholders in the account both at corporate and at the circle level
Keep the customer and internal stakeholders updated on consultancy, technology, execution and commercials through a regular engagement plan
Continuously scout, develop and monetize all opportunities for cross-sell an up-sell in the account: Identify potential opportunities at the account, pull in the relevant experts to pitch to the account, pull in assigned sales resource to close the deal
Define, maintain and manage the account engagement calendar and account governance plan
Keep the customer appraised about roadmap and new capabilities being introduced
Diligently execute PoCs for new solutions and services such that it leads to a group wide contract
Work with the Sales team on harvesting deals and bringing in new revenues for the organization from South Asia accounts
Understand and imbibe the guidance and inputs from functional leadership and deliver them under a well-defined execution plan
Evaluate Learning and Development needs of all members in the account, contract with functional heads to ensure training needs are fulfilled
Qualifications & Experience Required:
A well-recognized Engineering Degree; a degree in Management or Marketing would be an added advantage
10-15 years of experience in IT/Telecom sector of which a good part should have been in the Telecom sector
Should have worked in an Account / Engagement / Program Management roles managing & delivering technology solutions IN / IT / VAS / service layer and consulting services in VAS / Marketing / BI / RA to Telecom operators
Experience in similar role with accounts like Hutch/Etisalat/Aircel would be a plus
Project and program management of delivering services across multiple operators/circles
Should have managed cross functional teams
