Head - Corporate Audit would be responsible for planning and executing all internal audit assignments for us globally in consultation with Audit Committee, Head - Company Affairs and CFO.
The incumbent will be responsible for reviewing existing business and/or operating processes and recommending preventive steps for any control weaknesses.
The incumbent is expected to continuously improve systems and controls, review and monitor compliances and provide recommendations to reduce costs wherever possible.
The incumbent will be required to liaise with external/co-sourced internal auditors and statutory auditors
Provide reliable, value added & independent assurance to the Audit Committee, that the risk management & governance systems are functioning as intended and will enable the organization to meet its objectives & goals and play a key role in promoting good corporate governance
Defining annual audit schedules of group companies based on risk and control assessments .Effectively engaging internal auditors and develop risk-based annual audit plans detailing the scope, nature and timing of audit activities and present to the Audit Committee the audit findings & agreed action plans
Planning & conducting individual audits, defining audit objectives and preparing audit plans
Contribute to the development of processes within Internal Audit to continuously improve the overall Quality of audit work and value to the Group
Reviewing compliance, ensuring the organization is adhering to rules, codes or practice, business ethics, internal guidelines and principles on business operations
Evaluating the reliability and integrity of financial and operational information
Monitor the timely implementation of the management actions recommended in the audit reports
Working with teams across business to ensure that agreed internal audit recommendations are applied and embedded
Monitoring and maintaining a safe, healthy and secure environment, updating executive managers on risks identified, providing assurance that all key risks are being managed effectively
Interviewing business teams about working practices & challenging current working practices and finding ways to improve internal risk controls
Evaluating & providing reasonable assurance that risk management, control, & governance systems are functioning as intended and will enable the Company to meet its objectives & goals

Qualification / Experience:
Qualified Chartered Accountant or CPA or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, SAP/Oracle ERP accounting packages
At least 8-10 years relevant work experience in an internal audit or internal control function in a medium to large organisation and atleast 3 to 4 years of working experience in a reputed audit firm
Financial and accounting knowledge
Knowledge of audit controls
Apart from the above, the jobholder will have all the required skills such as leadership, social and interpersonal skills.
