Hiring, Subject Matter Expert (SME) with solid experience in Commodity Trading and Risk Management.

Will work as Solution Architect, Sales Support & (Regional) Product Management

Energy Trading, Risk & Operations group helps gas & power, pipeline, energy trading and industrial consumers manage physical & financial trading, risk/control, credit management, asset optimization, fuels management, power operations, gas operations, emissions compliance, and finance in a single solution. The Market Map group complements the Energy group with data, data management as well as enhanced analytics and charting from historical, end-of-day and real time data. Operating in the Americas, EMEA, and Asia the group services a broad range of companies helping them to drive profitability and growth while adhering to regulatory compliance such as Dodd-Frank, REMIT and EMIR.

Position Responsibilities

Looking to add to their Product Management team by hiring a subject matter expert covering Solution Architecture, Sales Support and (Regional) Product Management. The role will cover market trends that need to be reflected in the product suite regulatory, traded products and compliance as well as act as an interdisciplinary product manager to create solutions with other affiliated product lines of Aligne/XDM, MarketMap but also Kiodex, Treasury, etc. in coordination with the product management leaders for the respective product. As a regional product manager the role will help to create market packages, provide input for the core product and help coach developers locally. Additionally, he/she will work as sales support and pre-sales all over Asia and be also engaged in the early project phases as senior subject matter expert and help to craft the right for the professional services teams.

Product Focus

Understanding of what an ETRM vendor and Data Provider does and how such software is used by the relevant market participants.
Clearly prioritise/articulate to the product management function the needs of existing customers and prospects in the region
Work with peers to create market packages as well as alternative methods of deployments and associated services
Working knowledge (hands on) with the software product
Model customer/industry scenarios within the software, recommending best practices
Interact with other product managers, and development teams to enhance the product to better serve existing customers and prospective customers

Industry Focus

Strong knowledge of the working of the international and especially the Asian energy and commodity markets.
Ideally, the candidate should understand the latest market trends e.g. deregulation and regulatory environment, trading environment, issues affecting the way utilities/trading firms operate within Asia.
Decent IT background to understand different methods of deployment
Strong industry contacts
Clearly articulate and document energy and commodity industry trends and market initiatives
Work with other Product Managers to create and implement strategic initiatives to keep pace with market changes including regulatory and compliance issues in addition to market trends.
Document industry and/or customer requirements at a detailed level and perform gap analysis against current product capabilities 

Marketing Focus

Support in the production of all key Asia marketing collateral, specifically; product marketing, sales collateral, press releases and white papers.
Work with Marketing to deliver regular promotions for data products in all regions including launches for new products, modules, versions and sales initiatives
Liaise with marketing about press releases, industry events, and other marketing promotions
Sales Orientation
Assist the sales team in developing a sales strategy regionally, and functionally
Support as pre-sales in developing and continually enhancing the product demo
Accompany the sales team on key sales calls / product demos in order to contribute industry and product knowledge, and credibility to the sales process
Proactively monitor and review all aspects of the sales process, including all sales documentation, and propose alternatives in areas where improvement may be required
